Dr. Lloyd Herman, D.D.S., M.S.
Helping people has always been a passion of Dr. Herman’s.
Dr. Herman graduated in 1992 from McGill University in Montreal with a degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery. In 1992 he moved to Denver Colorado and in 1993, he completed a General Practice residency program at the University of Colorado. Dr. Herman went into private practice and became a partner in Pine Grove Dental Associates in Steamboat Spring, CO for 10 years. Dr. Herman realized his childhood dream to combine his love of dentistry with his love of skiing by living at the base of a ski mountain. He then relocated to Aspen in 2002 to join his mentor Dr. William Comcowich, a world-renowned expert in occlusion, full mouth reconstruction and esthetic dentistry. He purchased Dr. Comcowich’s practice and worked with him for a year prior to his retirement. He successfully owned this practice for 10 years.
Dr. Herman’s never-ending dedication to his profession was exemplified when after 20 years of private practice he returned to his Alma Mater, the University of Colorado, to further his education through a 3-year master’s program in periodontics. By combining his 20 years of experience of private practice along with his surgical skills, Dr. Herman can now provide a multitude of services including but not limited to general and cosmetic dentistry, periodontics, extractions, implants, crown lengthening, gum grafting, gum lift, pinhole technique, guided bone regeneration, full-mouth rehabilitation & smile rejuvenation.
After finishing his specialty training, Dr. Herman joined BioDentist a holistic practice in Denver, to work with Dr. Augsberger. He was already in alignment with this type of work since he lives a holistic lifestyle - eating organically, practicing yoga, exercising and leading a healthy lifestyle. He continues to consult and occasionally is called to work on some of their high-profile cases.
In 2018 he traveled to Northern India and spent a month volunteering his time and dental skills to underserved communities in the Himalayan Mountains. “It was a very rewarding experience and I am looking forward to further volunteer opportunities to help others”.
That same year, Dr. Herman decided to make his home in sunny California.
Dr. Herman provides a safe and comfortable experience for his patients. He is committed to listening to his patients needs and taking the time necessary so that he can develop a customized and detailed treatment plan.
He enjoys skiing, hiking, golf, tango dancing and cooking. He makes his home in Los Angeles
with his girlfriend Annie and their 3 dogs.
